• Gartner report: Prepare for Unified Endpoint Management to Displace MDM and CMT

According to Gartner, “I&O leaders managing increasingly diverse endpoints want to simplify the many tools, processes and policies that span their device environment. As UEM technologies mature, a viable option for a single-pane-of-glass solution is emerging. This research defines UEM tools and where to apply them.”

Learn more about key findings from Gartner report:

      1. Client management tool (CMT) and enterprise mobility management (EMM) solutions are adding support in order to act as a single console to manage traditional PCs alongside mobile devices and, where applicable, the Internet of Things (IoT).
      2. Management capabilities of emerging platforms such as Chrome OS, macOS and some Windows devices are designed to be managed with unified endpoint management (UEM) tools and cannot be addressed with legacy CMT offerings
      3. The majority of companies have at least one obstacle forestalling the embrace of UEM for all endpoints. Yet those not dependent on apps with legacy OS dependencies are already taking the step of adopting UEM as the single-pane-of-glass to manage all client-facing computing assets.
      4. For most organizations, the key challenge to migrating to management of all endpoints with UEM tools is hampered by legacy application requirements, legacy processes and a skills gap.
