Educate and Innovate: Cool Things for Creators at Adobe MAX

At Dell, we’re committed to providing our customers with the best technology for their needs, whatever they may be. For Dell Precision, we’re particularly passionate about creators and watching them do amazing things with our technology, from Academy-Award winning visual effects in movies to treating war heroes with PTS using virtual reality toward rehabilitation.

It’s been exciting to see how creativity has accelerated with technology and we want to see that go even further. In addition to providing the technology, we’re also committed to providing the resources and training to help teach creatives – from hobbyists to professionals – how they can do cool things with the right technology.

At the annual Adobe MAX conference this week, we’ll be hosting some great programs to help creatives learn more about what’s possible with the right technology. In addition to the 232 Dell Precision workstations and UltraSharp monitors used in two of the three onsite Adobe training labs…

  • Dell Campus: A first of its kind activation at Adobe MAX, we’ll host two three full days of sessions from certified Adobe Expert Trainers to teach artists and creatives new skills and techniques with Dell technology.
  • Free Training Online: Great news, you don’t have to be at Adobe MAX to take advantage of these training sessions! As a result of our partnership with Future Media Concepts, all the sessions will stream live online and will be posted on our YouTube channel after the event. Check them out for yourselves! • Windows for Creators Workshop: For the first time, we’re hosting a Windows for Creatives workshop. As more creative professionals transition to PCs for their work, we want to help make the transition easier and make sure they know about all the great features on Windows for creators. The class will be led by Master Adobe Trainer Jeff Greenberg, a post production consultant who specializes in editorial, workflow, compositing, sound, color grading and compression.
  • Upcoming Filmmaking Guide: Later this month, we’re partnering with Adobe and renowned Film Editor Vashi Nedomansky (“Gone Girl,” “Dead Pool”) to launch a publication which teaches creatives how to produce full-feature movies. Stay tuned for more!

In addition to the new Dell Campus program developed to help train the next wave of creators and engineers, Dell is also showcasing new and innovative products like our Dell Precision 5520, Dell Precision 5720 All-in-One, and Dell Canvas. These workstations are designed specifically to address the needs of some of the most creative professionals working in these markets.

Also at Adobe MAX we’re introducing support for external graphics over Thunderbolt that can augment the performance of our mobile workstations. For example, the Precision 5520 – thinnest and lightest mobile workstation in Dell’s portfolio – can now power an 8K monitor over an externally connected Nvidia Quadro P6000 or an AMD Radeon Pro WX7100 graphics card. With this increased graphics performance, you can be even more productive at your desk. Precision 3520, 5520, 7520, 7720 customers can go to www.dell.com/support to download the Thunderbolt firmware that provides support eGPUs.

If you’re in Las Vegas, feel free to stop by booth #143.

As creative professionals work reaches new heights, we want to make sure everyone has the skills and technology to perform in fast-moving industries, like media and entertainment. Ultimately, we want to help our customers advance their work to new levels, all while ensuring they have the best experience with our technology.
