Your next job might not exist... yet
The future of work is evolving rapidly with technology innovation. New jobs are being created, new work environments are being designed, new work tools are becoming available. Technology is at the core of these new developments, either as the impetus for the new job or as the facilitator of doing the new job. Display technology is the interface that workers use to do their work and it plays a major part in the design of new ways to work. Kirk Schell, SVP of Displays at Dell, spends a lot of time analyzing how displays can help workers be more productive in industries like oil and gas, finance, entertainment, healthcare, education and more. The needs are vastly different and that has to be reflected in the work environment. Add to this virtual and mixed reality technology and you can imagine the ever more sophisticated displays needed to translate data into the visual. Kirk, who has spent part of his career in the US Navy Nuclear Power Program running the power plant, in leadership education and has been in the IT industry for over 20 years, also brings deep cultural knowledge, stemming from overseas assignments, to his job.
