Women In Technology Report

Today the Catalyst organization recently announced a report entitled Women in Technology: Maximizing Talent, Minimizing Barrier.  Dell was an advisor to the study.  The full report is available here.

In 2003, Catalyst published Bit by Bit: Catalyst's Guide to Advancing Women in High Tech Companies, which revealed barriers facing women in the high tech industry.   Fueled by these findings, Catalyst engaged Cisco, Dell, IBM and National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT) to provide advice and support for a global survey to further understand the issues and provide concrete steps that companies can take to improve the advancement and talent management of women.

Dell is committed to a fully inclusive workplace so that we can attract and retain the best possible employee talent as we grow. These efforts have been recognized with numerous awards including most recently, Dell received the "Corporate Rising Star" award from the Women's Business Council Southwest for our commitment to supplier diversity and strategy to develop these companies as part of our supply chain.

Catalyst is the leading nonprofit corporate membership research and advisory organization working globally with businesses and the professions to build inclusive environments and expand opportunities for women and business.
