What you need to know about Mobile Clinical Computing

If you attended the World of Health IT (WoHIT) show in Barcelona last month, you may have seen the live demonstration of our Mobile Clinical Computing (MCC) solution.

MCC helps physicians and nursing staff get easy access to critical patient information at the point of care, to help them provide better quality care to patients. Features of the solution include Single sign on, Location Awareness, Session Mobility, and more.

Dell is currently undertaking 11 MCC pilots across 6 European countries, where we are running the MCC solution within live clinical workflow settings. Alongside these pilots we are undertaking a Business Value of IT (BVIT) study, to truly determine the impact of the solution to the quality of care, staff productivity, cost optimisation, and other critical areas. The pilot results and study results will provide truly compelling examples of how Dell is helping customers achieve measurable results with our MCC solution. Stay tuned there…

At the WoHIT show, we were lucky enough to be joined by one of our MCC pilot customers. Mr. Paul Curley, Consultant Surgeon and Clinical Director for IT from The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust in the UK, took time out to talk to fellow Physicians at the show about how Dell has engaged with his organisation in tackling issues he and colleagues alike across the Healthcare sector are facing every time they need to access electronic patient information.

To see Paul talk to Renzo Taal, Director of Dell healthcare and Life Sciences EMEA, about some of these challenges they are facing and how Dell can help, have a look at this video:
