Want To Stand Up New Services Fast? Federation Enterprise Hybrid Cloud 3.0 Has Got You Covered

Last year we demonstrated we could build a hybrid cloud fast at EMC World. In a controlled environment with pre-planning, we did it in 48 hours. Then we proved we could plan, scope and implement it fast to customers at our Federation Enterprise Hybrid Cloud launch in October – in as few as 28 days. In March, VCE sped deployment even further with VCE Foundation for Federation Enterprise Hybrid Cloud. But standing up a hybrid cloud fast is just the start. With the newest version of Federation Enterprise Hybrid Cloud – version 3.0 – we enable IT organizations to add new services with ease after deployment – and deliver key updates in security and data protection so those services can be delivered with confidence.

Now it’s easy for Cloud Admins to build a variety of multi-tier application blueprints to account for the great variety of web server, app server, and database combinations their developers and users are looking for. Part of the new integrations include Puppet Enterprise – an optional add-on for Federation Enterprise Hybrid Cloud that extends the capabilities of VMware App Services to make application deployment and ongoing configuration management simple and easy. Now cloud admins can build apps and app services easily, so developers and end users can get exactly the type of application blueprints they’re looking for in just a few clicks.

But any service delivered through a hybrid cloud needs the right level of security. In Federation Enterprise Hybrid Cloud 3.0, we’ve enhanced security via secure isolation and network micro-segmentation to deliver granular firewall protection at the application or VM level. In addition, users can have the ability to encrypt their VM’s directly through EHC’s self-service portal. Along with enhanced security, Federation Enterprise Hybrid Cloud also enables smarter, simplified data protection: data protection policies now travel with their VMs across multi-site Federation Enterprise Hybrid Cloud configurations.

But the enhancements don’t stop there. There’s big value in Big Data, and Federation Enterprise Hybrid Cloud 3.0 now includes the ability to deliver Big Data-as-a-Service via Hadoop in minutes to developers looking to work with Big Data sets in their next application.

Lastly, with the new version of Federation Enterprise Hybrid Cloud, if you have purchased a VSPEX Blue appliance for applications, you can bring this under management within Federation Enterprise Hybrid Cloud.  IT admins can now manage these remote office end points from their centralized self-service portal, further simplifying configuration and deployment.

In the end, what does Federation Enterprise Hybrid Cloud 3.0 deliver? Agility above all else. But don’t just take our word for it – come see it in action at EMC World 2015. Visit the Federation Enterprise Hybrid Cloud App Agility Arena – that’s booth 757 – where we’ll be demonstrating the Federation Enterprise Hybrid Cloud 3.0, our experts will be available to show just how quickly customers can build multi-tier application blueprints and other services that enable businesses to develop and deploy their next great application.
