Want to Pitch Michael Dell? Now You Can!

Want to get your company in front of some of the most influential people in the industry?  Get feedback from the founder of the world’s largest startup? Then your chance is here.

On December 12 in Austin, the Dell Center for Entrepreneurs is presenting startups with a unique and invaluable opportunity to pitch their business to a panel of judges who know what it takes to be successful in business – one of those judges being Dell’s founder, Michael Dell.

The Tech Innovation Day: Pitch Slam will happen during Dell World 2013 and will follow a similar format as the television show “Shark Tank”, but with a more supportive and constructive atmosphere – this way we make sure that participants have as positive an experience as possible. It will take place in front of a live audience and will also be available for viewing worldwide via livestream broadcast.

During the pitch slam, each participating startup will have the opportunity give a brief five minute pitch, which will be followed by 3-5 minutes of feedback from the judges. Companies will be judged on their presentation style, value proposition, differentiation, and relevance to Dell and corporate partners. Based on these factors, participating companies may be offered access to new resources and opportunities to form new relationships within relevant Dell departments and channels. Additionally, each startup will receive a Dell XPS 12 for participating in the event.

Six participating startups have already been identified through a series of regional pitch competitions held in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Austin and London over the past few months. Now Dell is looking for the seventh and final participant to join the regional winners by opening up a call for entries online.

If you think your company has what it takes then check out the entry guidelines below.  And to one of you . . .

See you at Dell World 2013!

They should also have a B2B technology focus and a compelling enterprise business solution that could benefit Dell, its partners or clients.  Key areas of interest include, but are not limited to, big data and analytics, infrastructure and platforms, and enterprise solutions.

Guidelines for Submission:

To enter, companies should provide their “elevator pitch” in 250 words or less on why their business should be selected as well as give brief responses to the following two questions – (1) how does technology enable the success of your company? and (2) if you are selected as winner, what would you hope to gain?

All entries should be submitted via the online form on the Dell Center for Entrepreneurs. Dell will begin accepting submissions today and the call for entries will close at midnight on Friday, November 29.
