Voila! (All about the Dell Storage Forum Paris Plenary Sessions)

It’s hard to believe that Dell Storage Forum Paris is already coming up next month!  But planning for another extraordinary set of syndicate sessions, networking events, hands-on labs, and plenary sessions is well underway.   The theme for Dell Storage Forum Paris is “Fluid Forward” – designed to empower you, our customers, to get more out of your storage investment.

Last week, I got a sneak peek at the plenary sessions planned for this DSF, and took down some notes to share:

Thursday November 15th at 9:00AM: Storage Plenary Session

The first Plenary Session for all our customers and partners is Thursday morning.  Darren Thomas (VP & GM for Dell Storage) will be taking the stage to make a series of exciting announcements about our storage product portfolio.  We know that you want the technical details behind these products; following his talk, he’ll be joined by General Managers and key engineers for each of the storage lines.  There will be a live Q&A to get into the details of our announcements and evolving technology.

Friday November 16th at 9:00AM: Architecture Plenary Session

The next Plenary Session is Friday morning.  For those of you who didn’t have the opportunity to travel to Boston for Storage Forum in June, you’re in for a treat – this talk will be in the format of a giant whiteboard session to diagram the key technologies that power the Fluid Data Architecture.  (I know I’m not un-biased, but this was one of the most impressive talks I have ever seen at a conference.  Check out the photo on the right.)  We’ll share the vision of the next phase of data management, and unveil technical details behind our new announcements.  It’s the best place to see our architects draft a vision of the technologies “in action”.

Wednesday November 14th at 9:00AM: Channel Partner Plenary Session

For channel partners arriving on Wednesday, the conference begins in the morning with a plenary session hosted by Greg Davis and his team.  They will be providing their insight on why your customers should be considering Dell for storage.  We’re planning to share a “conversation guide” that enables you to get started with and succeed in these conversations, as the depth of Dell’s storage portfolio deepens.

Now, if you are a really early riser, the Solutions Expo and Hands-on Labs will be open at 8AM each day before the Plenary sessions.  (Yeah, that’s a little early for me, too.)  For the rest of us, don’t miss out on the announcements, Q&A, architecture, and technical content at 9AM each day.  I hope to see you there.
