Tech Shorts Video: Active System Manager and Automation

Today’s complex data centers pose many challenges for IT administrators and teams. With a mix of hardware and software from different vendors, multiple tools for management, and time-consuming, manual processes, it’s often difficult to keep up with the demands of the business.  Automation can have a huge impact on increasing speed and improving efficiency and quality for IT resource deployments.

I recently talked with Steve Scott, Product Manager for Active System Manager (ASM), Dell’s infrastructure and workload automation solution. ASM’s template based-approach to defining and deploying nearly any type of IT service along with its wizard-driven automation, speeds infrastructure provisioning and workload deployment, means that common tasks can be captured in templates and automated, freeing up IT staff to work on more critical projects.
