Some of you may have already seen Mack Collier's post or his tweet on the topic, but this weekend on Sunday at 8pm CT, I'm pumped to be co-hosting this week's #blogchat with him. The topic of the discussion is How to Create and Maintain a Successful Corporate Blogging Strategy. It just so happens that July 10 is the day our Direct2Dell blog turns 5. That seemed to be a good reason to discuss the topic of corporate blogging.
I know from the first time I took part in a #blogchat, it was a firehose of a discussion. To help manage things, we'll aim to focus the discussion in three main topic areas.
- 8:00pm: How do you sustain a blogging strategy for years, and how do you keep the blog relevant with your readers and customers?
- 8:20pm: How do you find writers for your blog, and how do you keep them motivated to keep blogging for you?
- 8:40pm How do you create relevant content for your blog and how do you decide what content your readers are interested in?
Even if we aren't able to stick to the above time schedules, it's safe to say that all three will be topics of discussion. So if you are interested in participating in the those kinds of conversations, feel free to check it out on Sunday. Otherwise, don't take my word for it, listen to Shel Israel:
