Supporting Our LGBTQ Team Members All Year Long

This June marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, the historic event that led to the creation of Pride. Here at Dell Technologies, we couldn’t think of a better way to ring in Pride month than by celebrating and supporting our LGBTQ family.

Diversity of thought unlocks innovation and fuels creativity. We’ve built an inclusive and respectful culture that lets every team member bring their authentic selves to work every day. Our passionate Pride Employee Resource Group (ERG) plays a key role in this mission with 3,000 team members across 20 countries. The ERG welcomes not only those who identify as LGBTQ, but also allies – straight peers who support, accept and advocate for equality and fair treatment. As a very proud ally, it is my honor to serve as an executive sponsor for the Pride ERG.

We continue to provide LGBTQ employees resources to lobby in their local areas alongside team members and have added our name to numerous public policies to show our commitment to diversity & inclusion. We provide a variety of healthcare benefits to our LGBTQ team members including parental leave and adoption assistance. We support our transgender team members with a gender transition toolkit to better understand their needs and have established a transgender taskforce of team members who have transitioned themselves to help others along their journey.

But providing internal resources for team members isn’t enough.

Since 2002, Dell Technologies has been an active participant and sponsor of Out & Equal Workplace Advocates, a global nonprofit organization that partners with Top Fortune 500 companies building resources, content and hosting events to help other companies around the globe make similar strides in LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion.

For the 15th year in a row, Dell Technologies has proudly received a 100% on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index – deeming us a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality. And just this year, we were named one of America’s Best Employers for Diversity by Forbes.

We celebrate our LGBTQ team members all year long and are proud of the amazing work they are doing here at Dell Technologies. Please join me this month in celebrating and recognizing our wonderful LGBTQ team members around the world.

Happy Pride, everyone!
