Sneak Peek: Dell at Citrix Synergy 2014

It’s that time of the year again – when some of the brightest minds congregate together at the industry’s premier enterprise mobility conference, Citrix Synergy, to discuss how organizations can empower people with new ways to work – from anywhere, anytime, on any device. Dell is thrilled to be participating at this year’s conference in Los Angeles to take part in the diverse and thought-provoking discussions around virtualization, mobility, and cloud solutions.

At the conference, Dell will be unveiling exciting new products designed to complement Citrix technologies – so keep your eyes peeled for news from the team.

For those attendees interested in getting a first-hand look at Dell’s end-to-end solutions in action, we’ll be offering 16 unique demonstrations at the Dell booth (#202) focused on topics such as BYOD, unified communications, enterprise XenDesktop and XenApp monitoring, and high-end virtualized graphics. Plus, Dell will be hosting over 25 scheduled presentations at the in-booth theater from customers, partners and Dell experts, who will be diving deep into the latest and greatest Dell technologies for Citrix XenDesktop.

You’ll also have the opportunity to learn more about Dell Cloud Client-Computing solutions by attending two sessions with industry experts. The first breakout session is on simplifying desktop virtualization. In this session, Dan O'Farrell, senior director of product marketing for Dell Cloud Client-Computing, and Amy Price, solutions marketing manager for Dell Cloud Client-Computing, will discuss how to migrate or add virtual desktops with the greatest ease while limiting build-out and new desktop virtualization use cases that were not feasible even one year ago.

In another session, Dell along with Citrix will present the lessons learned from thousands of hours of designing, scaling and testing the most diverse and cost-effective desktop virtualization solutions on the market. During this session, the lead architects from Dell and Citrix will discuss best practices for implementing and integrating solutions, such as NVIDIA K1/K2 cards with Dell servers and Microsoft Lync into a XenDesktop environment.

Dell is also very excited to announce our upcoming monitoring and management support for Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp with our Foglight for Virtualization, Enterprise edition solution. Our engineers have been working closely with our partners at Citrix to deliver deep out-of-the box insight using the official Citrix API’s for data collection. In this session, Dell Sr. Product Manager, Kiran Ranabhor, will provide an overview of this exciting new functionality featured in our Foglight for Virtualization solution.
