Serious Social-izing at Canadian Partner Summit

Our Canadian channel partners have been asking us to host a partner summit just for them, so we did just that last month.

The two-day summit provided partners with a unique opportunity to gain expert insights into how Dell's comprehensive solution portfolio enables them to meet their customer's diverse IT requirements and exceed their expectations. This forum also brought together business leaders from across Canada and provided networking opportunities that helped our Dell partners foster peer-to-peer relationships.

Let me say that when you put such talented people in one place you are bound to have a great time and walk away with a broader set of knowledge from the materials presented.

I was thrilled to join our partners live in Toronto, Canada, to focus on social media and deliver a social tips presentation specific to our Canadian channel partners in person.  My excitement stems from engaging with our partners directly and not just online via Twitter and LinkedIn.  This was a fantastic opportunity to engage with our partners and educate them on social media best practices and provide tips on best free services they can leverage in their business.

In addition to sharing social media best practices with partner at the event, we also gave them a real-time, real-world case study. The event hashtag (#DellCPS) was promoted before and during the event on all event information, signs and even your name badge. The partners on Twitter were very engaged and happy to share what they were experiencing.

I must also note that they were creative with their posts as well.

Partners were also talking about their overall experiences and giving shout-outs to the sessions they enjoyed the most.

I want to thank all of the partners that attended this event. It was an action packed schedule filled with great speakers and topics.
