Recycling Reveals More Closet Space, and Sometimes Technological Gems

Seems the final school bell just rang, and yet “back to school” time is fast approaching. Like the holidays, many purchase new computers this time of year, often putting an older system into retirement.

Recycling that old computer is free and convenient at www.dell.com/usrecycling and at more than 2,000 Goodwill locations in the U.S. and Canada.

Some retired computers, though, are just too valuable to take apart. A colleague and I recently discovered such systems at the computer museum at Goodwill of Austin, the birth place of our national Reconnect recycling partnership. Check out what we found in the short video below.

Have an amazing old system that belongs in the computer museum? We want to see it.  Upload pics of your old school electronics to Dell’s Facebook Page.

Have a not-so-amazing old system? Well, get it on over to your local Goodwill. We’ll recycle it for you.
