Dell, SUSE and OpenStack
There is no shortage of information online about the importance of cloud technologies and solutions. We've seen a lot of successful deployments and usage among our customer base and in the market. It's quickly becoming a staple in enterprise environments.
Despite its rapid emergence in the market, it's always quite helpful to see live demos in person. Dell has partnered with SUSE to help you build an enterprise-class private cloud solution based on OpenStack. At our Dell Solutions Center, we will provide hands-on experience from “dipping your toe” into OpenStack to improving your current skills around OpenStack to assisting you in your final tweaks for an existing OpenStack project you’re building.
In the class, you’ll have access to a pool of virtualized servers (compute and storage nodes) and a self-service portal where you’ll be able to manage sample images. There, you’ll be able to understand and virtually view the network layout that you can customize and configure. You’ll also be taught optimized configurations and tunings for cloud deployment. All of this training is free.
Dell and SUSE have partnered for many years to bring Linux-based solutions to market. We collaborate closely with SUSE to ensure seamless compatibility with our enterprise platforms, including storage, servers, systems management, networking and services. We provide one-stop technical support services for SUSE’s flagship product SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) running on our enterprise solutions. Lastly, we offer expert migration services that help move from proprietary UNIX environments to an open, standards-based platform running SLES on Dell.
