Once Again, #DellGeeksOut for Dell Enterprise Innovation Days 2016

We recently had the pleasure of hosting another “Dell Enterprise Innovation Days” across different Dell locations in Round Rock and Austin. These events are an opportunity for small groups of journalists, analysts and bloggers to meet with Dell subject matter experts, executives and customers, as well as to visit select Dell labs to learn about the company’s technology investments and innovations.

This year, we kicked things off at TopGolf with a welcome reception and discussion on the pending merger with EMC and a preview of Dell’s 2016 Annual Report to Customers. Attendees were then provided an overview of Dell’s Digital Transformation strategy along with a customer video highlighting “the future of golf.”

The following morning, we treated guests to a tour of the Thermal and Futuresville labs at Parmer South for a glimpse into technology futures which included a briefing on ‘Triton,’ a liquid cooling solution for hyperscale, and a lively CTO panel discussion on new ways to innovate. The day also included pre-briefings of Dell’s four-socket server leadership and high performance computing (HPC) news that will be announced at the International Supercomputing show this week, as well as a visit to Dell customer Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC), home of the very impressive Stampede cluster.

On day two, attendees visited the Dell Global Support & Deployment (GSD) Command Center and the Design Lab in Round Rock. Discussions addressed solving customer problems with solutions including perspectives on Dell Blueprints, cloud, hyperconverged, GSD and Dell Financial Services.  It also included new ways to look at innovation regarding our ESG product teams’ work with the Design Lab to bring conceptual data center futures to product roadmaps.

As always, it was great having all of our guests here to tour the campus and meet with Dell engineers and executives, and we’re already talking about future events.
