Michael Dell Discusses Role of IT in the U.K.

Last week, Michael Dell addressed two influential business organizations, the Institute of Directors and the British Computer Society, in London and discussed the role IT plays for businesses, the public sector and individual consumers.

Michael described how the challenging economy presents a unique opportunity to innovate.  “The pace of change everywhere is only accelerating, and it creates all kinds of opportunities,” he remarked.

He said customers are working to emerge stronger and more competitive by thinking about total cost of owning and operating their IT infrastructures and building for future growth. They are investing in standards-based technologies that drive efficiency, such as virtualization, cloud computing, software as a service and mobility.
