Live from Paris: Dell and Brocade partner to deliver 16Gb Fibre Channel for the M1000e Blade System

This week at Dell Storage Forum 2012 in Paris, Dell introduced the Brocade M6505, a next-generation Fibre Channel blade switch developed for the Dell M1000e Blade enclosure. The M6505 is a 16Gb Fibre Channel switch that is designed for seamless interoperability with newly announced Dell Compellent storage arrays that are the first to deliver 16Gb Fibre Channel end-to-end from server to switch.

Following a long tradition of partnering with the best companies, Dell has been offering a variety of Brocade Fibre Channel products including the Brocade DCX 8510 Backbones, Brocade 6510 and 6505 Fibre Channel Switches.  All of these products deliver the highest 16 Gbps performance, enterprise class performance and features, and very competitive per-port pricing.  Dell is now expanding upon this family of offerings by announcing availability through Dell of the Brocade M6505for the Dell M1000e blade enclosure.
