Let the Numbers Speak for Themselves

As a result of putting customers first, Dell Technologies has received several No. 1s.

An industry analyst recently pointed out that Dell Technologies is a little too humble. He said that we have incredible perspective with a lot of global domain expertise. He recommended that we spread the word about how we are market leaders. So, without further ado, here are some of our accomplishments.

No. 1 in AI infrastructure

When it comes to infrastructure to power artificial intelligence systems, Dell Technologies is in the top tier, according to a recent report from IDC.

“In terms of 1H 2020 vendor share, the top companies in the AI Server market were (in alphabetical order) Dell, HPE, Huawei, IBM, Inspur, and Lenovo,” IDC says. “Each of these companies brought in more than $250 million in 1H 2020 and collectively these 6 companies accounted for 58% of the market, while 30% went to ODMs.”

No. 1 in cloud IT infrastructure

IDC ranks Dell Technologies as No. 1 in worldwide cloud IT infrastructure vendor revenue and market share. Dell Technologies racked up more than $2.7 billion in revenue and a 15 percent market share in the category — the highest share for the named vendors.

No. 1 in High performance computing (HPC)

In its customer-driven rankings of the top vendors in HPC, Intersect360 puts Dell EMC servers and storage systems at the top of multiple categories:

    • Highest Level of Product Awareness
    • Highest Level of Current Usage
    • Highest-Rated, Likeliness to Use in Two Years

No. 1 in converged and hyperconverged infrastructure

In its most recent quarterly converged systems tracker for vendor revenue, IDC gives Dell Technologies top marks.

“As it relates to the branded view of the hyperconverged systems market, Dell Technologies was the number 1 supplier with $801.8 million in revenue or a 32.6% share,” per IDC. In these rankings, HPE finished a distant second with $331.7 million in revenue and a 13.5 percent market share, and Nutanix took the third spot with $254.1 million in revenue and a 10.3 percent market share.”

No. 1 in servers

Del Technologies has long been a leader in server revenue. That remains the case today. In its most recent worldwide quarterly server tracker, IDC ranks Dell Technologies at the top of the list. And while the lines are blurring between servers and storage, PowerEdge servers are the innovation engines.

No. 1 in enterprise storage

In its most recent quarterly enterprise storage systems tracker, IDC shows Dell Technologies out in front in vendor revenue. “Dell Technologies was the largest external enterprise storage systems supplier during the quarter, accounting for 32.3% of worldwide revenue.”

Dell Technologies also ranks No. 1 in public and private cloud IT infrastructure, storage platforms for private cloud, storage software, all-flash storage arrays and more.

No. 1 in services

Dell Technologies’ leadership claims don’t stop at hardware and software. They also extend into the services realm. TSIA, the Technology & Services Industry Association, recently recognized Dell Technologies as the winner of its STAR Awards in four categories:

    • Best Practices in Field Service
    • Innovation in Leveraging Analytics for Service Excellence
    • Innovation in Leveraging Customer Outcomes
    • Innovation in XaaS Product Management (shared with IBM, which was also recognized as a winner in this category).

“Winning a STAR Award shows the company’s exceptional dedication to being the best in the technology and services industry,” TSIA noted.

No. 1 customers

Most important of all, Dell Technologies has the best customers in the world! We appreciate the close partnership, and the organizations who consistently put us first, just as we put them first.

And that’s the bottom line. When it comes to your business and meeting your IT needs, we’ll stop at nothing.
