IdeaStorm Recap – 2/13/2009

We just celebrated our 2 year anniversary with IdeaStorm.  It's hard to believe so much time has passed since the first official idea came in asking us to create a Home technology makeover show.  It's been a great ride from that initial idea to the many Linux ideas, requests for XP, new Latitude features, Service offerings, Community updates, (Red) and Pink and more!

We're happy that people are continuing to give us great ideas and hope you will keep them coming.  We also have some things in the planning stages on the site's design and functionality.  You'll have to stay tuned to hear more, but I am personally very excited about it!

For this update, we have 7 ideas that have been implemented.  The idea to Allow Google to index IdeaStorm again. slipped past me and should have been updated quicker, but I am happy to say it has been rectified now.

Many people have requested that we Offer an attractive green trade-in program for old computers.  You can now receive a Dell gift card for your out of date systems.  Very cool indeed!

The new Wasabi printer is all the buzz with it's small size and Zero Ink technology similar to these suggestions: Alternative to Printer Ink: Laser burning and Bluetooth enabled printers.

My personal favorite is the idea to create Dell (PINK)!  For every pink laptop sold, Dell will donate $5 to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.  What better way to honor the women in your life!

And finally, we have also provided 8GB memory support for XPS M1330 and implemented the idea toTry to push Adobe to fix their Flash Player.
