Dell at 2010 NHS Confederation ConferenceThe NHS Confederation conference and exhibition on June 23-25, was the first major UK health management conference since the general election. Presenters, exhibitors and visitors were eager to hear the priorities of the new UK government and ideas for how NHS leaders should respond to mounting financial and healthcare challenges. Dell Healthcare was there in full effect, where we officially debuted Dell Services, formerly Perot Systems, and demonstrated why we were ranked by Gartner #1 in healthcare IT services worldwide.

Although the first day was rather quiet because of England’s match in the world cup, things really picked up from there with several NHS trust directors and chairs stopping by the Dell booth to see the Dell Mobile Clinical Computing (MCC) demonstration in action, and how it really can empower clinicians to deliver better patient care. We also launched our new UK Healthcare webpages and our new Virtual Hospital site, an interactive destination for Clinicians, administrators and IT professionals to see Healthcare technology solutions in action Dell Virtual Hospitaland how they ultimately affect patient outcomes; arranged as a tour through a virtual hospital via either an IT solutions viewpoint or a patient viewpoint.
