Episode #12: VCE at VMworld 2015 with John Lockyer

Converged Infrastructure represents a monumental shift in IT infrastructure consumption.  By grouping together multiple infrastructure components into a single optimized computing package, infrastructure can be deployed faster at a lower cost with less risk.  Converged Infrastructure decreases complexity through the use of pre-integrated hardware with virtualization and automation management tools.  VCE pioneered the development of Converged Infrastructure when it was formed by EMC, VMware, Intel and Cisco in 2009.  In 2014, EMC acquired over 90% of VCE making it a part of EMC.

John Lockyer, Americas CTO and Global Lead of Technology Consultants, has been with VCE since the beginning.   I spent some time with John at VMworld 2015 to talk about the latest trends in Converged Infrastructure and what we can expect moving forward.
