Dell YouthConnect Helps Youth Thrive in France

You’ve heard us talk about the Dell YouthConnect program, since its global launch in February 2009. In just under a year we’ve donated millions of dollars to organizations around the globe that are helping youth worldwide thrive with education and digital initiatives. Today, we are proud to announce two new recipients of Dell YouthConnect grants in France, the Fondation Agir Contre l’Exclusion and the Institut de cancérologie Gustave Roussy of Villejuif. The grants will be used to improve access to technology in France and help young people develop the skills needed to enhance their lives and to help them pursue professional careers.

Dedicated to helping people with employment, training and economic development, Fondation Agir Contre l’Exclusion’s (FACE) YouthConnect program helps at-risk youth make more informed decisions when choosing between a vocational or academic track, by making technology work harder for their needs. The YouthConnect grants provide computer access for students to develop information technology and multimedia skills, learn about careers and business opportunities and facilitate openings to the business world through exposure and training.

Institut de cancérologie Gustave Roussy (IGR) is the leading European anti-cancer center.  The Dell YouthConnect program at IGR is focused on serving young patients. The program provides technology access to help lessen the disease's impact on the children’s lives, by maintaining their academic progress, providing means to express themselves and facilitating interaction with others for their long-term success.

Dell is proud to be working with these impactful organizations, and to continue the mission of YouthConnect by bringing education and digital inclusion initiatives for underserved youth. To learn more about the YouthConnect program, please visit Dell’s website.
