Dell @SXSW 2013 – #DellSXSW

Dell will have a significant presence again this year during South by Southwest (SXSW), held annually in our hometown of Austin, Texas. Beginning with SXSWedu and through Interactive, Film and Music, Dell will show and tell how its customers are using Dell technologies to create music, film and momentum for growing businesses. SXSW Interactive > Capital Factory Startup Crawl

Dell involvement: Dell will be giving away copies of Steve Blank’s “The Start Up Manual” 

 

SXSW Interactive > SXSW Gaming IGN IPL League

Date/time: 3/8, 3:00 – 9:00p; 3/9 – 3/10, noon – 8:00p

Location: Parmer Events Center – 900 Barton Spring Road, Austin     

Dell involvement: Alienware X51 gaming desktops will be the exclusive PCs on the tournament main stage. Alienware will also feature the M14X laptops in the IGN booth and debut the “Future of eSports” video.

SXSW Interactive > Social Marketing Confessions: Leading Brands Discuss What Has and Hasn’t Worked

Dell involvement: In The Age of the Consumer, online businesses are still honing and fine-tuning their social strategies to properly engage and understand their consumers. How can businesses market to digitally-connected consumers who expect a personalized, social experience everywhere they click, yet fear their loss of personal privacy? How do business decide who “owns” which social channels? Which metrics matter? Dell's Director of Global Social Media, Richard Margetic @ByJove, will be participating on the panel.

SXSW Music + Film > The FADER Fort Presented by Converse and Powered by Dell

Date: 3/11 – 3/16

Location: The FADER Fort, 1101 E. 5th Street, Austin

Dell involvement: Dell is joining FADER to bring new and emerging artists to the popular FADER Fort stage during SXSW. Dell solutions will power the behind-the-scenes activities inside the Fort, as well as live stream the performances worldwide on TheFader.com. Dell will showcase some of its newest media and entertainment products and solutions at the Fort, including interactive music and film editing stations, an Alienware gaming lounge, and SXSW social media command center.
