Dell’s Solid Design Solutions for SolidWorks Users

imageDell has focused on the professional design, engineering and manufacturing market since the inception of its Dell Precision business 15 years ago, and this year is no exception. We are excited to return to SolidWorks World in Orlando, Fl this week; our fifth year at the show, and this time as a Platinum sponsor. We are showcasing our new portfolio of Dell Precision tower, rack and mobile workstations, optimized and certified for SolidWorks and many other complementary design applications. We are also excited to present in breakout sessions, sponsor keynote sessions and more. Check out this summary of where you can find Dell at the show!

  • Partner Pavilion (Booth #619) – Come visit the Dell booth to see demonstrations of 3D design examples running on Dell professional workstations with NVIDIA graphics optimized for Solidworks and photo-realistic rendering with SolidWorks 2013 and mental images iray technology. The demo will highlight simultaneous design and simulation with SolidWorks 2013 and Dassault Systemes Simulia. eDrawings 2013 will be shown with 3D Stereo for enhanced product review applications. You can also meet with Dell and NVIDIA experts to learn how our partnership with SolidWorks delivers a comprehensive testing program to improve reliability and deliver optimized, high-performance 3D design solutions to help engineers, designers and IT, such as Kee Action Sports and Trek Bicycle Corporation, stay competitive and improve project time to market.

  • Increasing SolidWorks Performance with a Workstation (Breakout Session) – I will present on how the right computer can make a significant performance difference with professional CAD, rendering, or simulation and result in increased productivity and time-to-market. We will also discuss how to configure a professional workstation to provide optimal performance for SolidWorks. The session, “Dramatic Performance Increases Using SolidWorks 2013 with a Workstation” is on Wednesday, Jan. 23 from 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. in Mockingbird room.

  • Manufacturing Trends & Solutions (General Session Presentation) – Kirsten Billhardt, Dell Manufacturing Industry Strategist, will speak about the state of the manufacturing industry and Dell’s industry-leading design solutions for the office, the field or the cloud on Wednesday, Jan. 23 at 8:35 a.m. in the General Session. Come learn about trends driving the market including globalization, demand for value at increased prices and long and unpredictable supply chains; how to simplify plant floor and IT operations and increase innovation and time to market; and how Dell’s powerful tools for design and engineers enable you to compete in a global economy.

We look forward to seeing you at the show! Come find us and we’ll be happy to discuss how Dell can help you increase and optimize your CAD performance.
