Dell Receives Partner of the Year Awards at Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference

It was another successful week in Washington, DC at the 2014 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC).  Dell’s commitment to empowering customers to meet their evolving IT needs continues to strengthen and at this year’s event we were recognized for our unwavering dedication.   

We are proud to announce that Dell was honored with six Partner of the Year awards, which celebrate top Microsoft partners that are solving customer challenges with creative technology solutions. 

This year, Microsoft received more than 2,800 entries from more than 117 countries and awarded the very best candidates based on their understanding of mutual customer challenges, the market impact of their solutions, and exemplary use of Microsoft technologies. Phil Sorgen, corporate vice president of Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Group noted:

The 2014 Partner of the Year Award winners and finalists honor our top partners that solve complex business challenges by providing innovative solutions to our mutual customers. Dell won Microsoft Windows 8 Application Developer Partner of the Year for Dell’s vaccination app which improves efficiency and accuracy in creating new patient records, tracking vaccination details and integrating information to existing billing systems at 4,800 Rite Aid stores nationwide. Additionally, Dell was named a finalist for the Public Sector Partner of the Year Award in the education category for our one-to-one computing solutions that benefit students at Clear Creek Independent School District, in the health category for solutions created by the Dell Japan team, and also recognized as an Enterprise Partner Group (EPG) Microsoft Sales Achievement Award Enterprise OEM finalist.

In the U.S. market, Dell received two U.S. Windows Team Awards: for the third consecutive year we received the U.S. Windows Deployment Partner of the Year award, and we also received Revenue Partner of the Year.  In conjunction with these Windows win, we were thrilled to showcase our efforts in mobility during the WPC Mobility & Devices Keynote session.  All session attendees received a Dell Venue 8 Pro Tablet to experience manageability and ease of use first hand.

In testament to serving customers of all sizes, locations and varying demands, Dell was the only partner to receive the Enterprise Partner Group (EPG) Partner of the Year awards in all three U.S. regions: West, Central and East. These awards included:

  • Alliance Partner of the Year – West Region
  • Compete Partner of the Year – Central Region
  • Alliance Partner of the Year – East Region

Moreover, this is the third consecutive year Dell received the award in the East and West regions and the second consecutive year it won for the Central region.
