Dell Enterprise Mobility: Delivering Flexible Customer Solutions

The days when IT departments and service providers managed a standard set of client-side equipment and software are rapidly coming to an end. Now, people increasingly are using either personal or employer-issued mobile devices for work. This dramatically increases IT complexity as organizations strive to accommodate a wide range of mobile devices and operating systems as well as multiple wireless telecommunications carriers.

Smartphones and tablets are predicted to reach 60 to 80 percent penetration in the enterprise by 2015, up from less than 20 percent today. In addition, the current $28 billion smartphone applications and services industry is projected to grow into a $75 billion industry by 2014.

Organizations must develop a strategic plan for managing this rapid escalation of mobile technology in a secure manner. They also need to develop applications that maximize the efficiencies of a mobile workforce.

To help customers through these challenges, Dell has launched Enterprise Mobility Services, a portfolio of end-to-end solutions that encompass hardware, software, services, and back-end data center infrastructure. The end result is mobility solutions that are secure, manageable, scalable and open to all mobile operating systems. This will enable customers to achieve the benefits of mobile collaboration, computing and communications-enhanced business processes.

We will promote the new Enterprise Mobility offerings at the Mobile World Congress next week in Barcelona, Spain, the largest and most influential mobile conference in the world.
