As we enter the 2nd quarter of the Dell fiscal year, I’m thrilled to announce that Pete Koliopoulos has joined the Dell Systems & Information Management (SIM) team as Vice President of Global Software Channels and Alliances. Additionally, three industry veterans have joined the SIM channel leadership team to help drive the SIM channel program in priority regions. They include:

–       Jeff McCullough, Americas

–       Chris Miller, EMEA

–       Mary Woo, APJ

IT is transforming businesses today in a way we really haven’t seen before which makes it a prime time for Dell SIM to build out a world-class channel and alliances program. Our solutions are focused on helping our customers spend less time on administration and more time on innovation, which includes grabbing hold of the opportunities presented by cloud and cloud-enabled technologies. We’re committed to arming our partners with the solutions that simply and efficiently address the challenges and unnecessary time organizations face today in managing workloads, protecting networks, so they can focus on new technology innovation.

And importantly, our goal is to empower our partners to help their customers get the most from their staff, infrastructure, data and applications so they can spend more time focusing on what’s next. We’re committed to implementing a “Channel Partner First” approach that gives our partners the end to end solutions that will open the door for new opportunities with existing and new customers. The partner community is an extension of the SIM business and it’s critical all partners have the capability to deliver the right solutions – pre, during and post deployment – so they can be successful. This will be coupled with top-notch field engagement and alignment, better rebate opportunities, and a simplified partner model that gives partners more control of their incentive level than ever before. The Dell SIM solutions portfolio includes well over 100 products that cover the whole spectrum, from above the hardware to below the applications. We’re bringing a whole different level of simplicity, particularly to the people side of IT ‒ security, database management, data protection, Microsoft platform management, endpoint management and performance monitoring – as well as helping organizations to not only manage their files in the cloud, but also use the cloud as a secure platform.

Pete brings more than 30 years of experience leading marketing, sales and channels programs across both software and hardware organizations. Recognized as a CRN Channel Chief for several years, Pete has an industry reputation for having a laser-focused channel – and distribution –centric approach to building not only successful global partner programs, but many high-performing sales and marketing teams.

Pete joins us from Arrow ECS, where he was vice president of marketing for North America and was responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies for all of Arrow ECS’ North American operations. Prior to Arrow ECS, he was vice president of global partner marketing at VCE Corp, the joint venture between Cisco and EMC with investment from VMware and Intel – and successfully built the VCE global channel program while simultaneously working with sales leadership to develop the company’s go to market strategy. Pete has also held channel marketing leadership roles at EMC, Storage Technology Corp. and Honeywell.

We welcome Pete to the team and look forward to his leadership as we build out a world-class channels and alliances program. Check out this on demand webcast to learn more about our new channel leadership team and how together Dell SIM and partners we will drive greater growth than ever before in software, services, and consulting.
