Catch the Midrange Momentum

Can you feel the momentum building?  Are you part of it?  Do you want to be part of it?

Let’s first discuss what the momentum is all about.  It is about strength, acceleration and disruption for our Midrange portfolio.  According to IDC, the midrange market is 57% of the storage market, which is about $15.5B globally and more importantly, is growing 4.1% Y/Y. Dell EMC gained 890 basis points Y/Y (Source: IDC Market Definitions). That means big opportunities for you and strong momentum in the marketplace.

Now let’s take a deeper look at what matters to your customers.

  • Architecture matters: Dell EMC Unity has an Active-Active dual controller architecture.  Our storage controller is required to process data, run storage data services like replication and run data reduction to drive down a customer’s TCO.  Active-passive architectures cannot keep up, and those vendors guide users to turn data reduction off for peak performance applications. Why have dual controllers when both are not working for the customer environment? The Unity Dell EMC investment is working 100% for your customers business
  • Unified storage matters: Unity’s Unified Storage approach to support Block, VVOL and File workloads is built into the core of the system.  It is not a gateway or a bolt-on.
  • Simplicity matters:
    • Dell EMC Unity has flexible Management with Unisphere HTML 5 UI and Cloud IQ
      • CloudIQ for Storage Analytics and Monitoring inclusive of Dell EMC Partner Trusted Advisor capabilities, an enhanced user experience with the mobile app. The best IT issue is the one that is prevented.
    • Broad ecosystem integration including VMware and Microsoft. We did the engineering so you don’t have to.
    • Quick deployment, 25 minutes from in the box to up & running as “Easy to install as a consumer networked printer.” Says ESG Labs
    • Easy upgrades and expansions
  • Cloud matters:
    • Cloud edition is seamless connect on-prem storage with software defined storage in public cloud
    • Cloud Storage Services are ideal for customers who want to expand their on-premises footprint with cloud capacity for specific needs
  • Security matters: Good enough for US DoD, good enough for business. Check out this blog on the many security certs Dell EMC Unity meets.
  • Replication matters: Native Synchronous and Asynchronous for Block and File. Our Customers can implement data protection and D/R strategies according to their business requirements, not the technology limitations of their vendors.
  • Future-Proof matters: peace of mind, investment protection and a path forward Click here for details.

The time is now to go back to your customers and prospects and talk to them about what matters to them. Check out Dell EMC Partner Tech Refresh Program on the Partner Portal for specific opportunities you can take advantage of, and speak to your PSE and/or MDC Specialty contact on next steps.
