Ask yourself…are you feeling lucky?

That’s the phrase we used to draw attention to a raffle we had in Austin at SXSW Interactive a couple weeks ago. Dell and Emulex co-hosted a Tweet Up at Bar96 in order to let leading edge conference goers see our joint enterprise solutions in action. We had a great showing with more than 500 guests and the team at Bar96 and Backstage Grill did an awesome job keeping everyone happy. The lucky winner of our Kindle Fire raffle was John Refford (aka @iamreff). Congratulations, John!

During the Tweet Up, we showed how Dell PowerEdge 12th Generation Servers enable customers with scalable, reliable and high performance virtualization solutions to:

  • Meet the demands of running multiple applications in a virtualized environment
  • Accomplish more with increased throughput with major I/O performance enhancements
  • Future-proof your data center by giving you modular choices for network fabric capability
  • Monitor servers agent-free with Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC) with Lifecycle Controller systems management solution

The latest generation of Emulex Fibre Channel (FC) mezzanine cards and Host Bus Adapters (HBAs) for Dell deliver the massive I/O needed for enhanced system performance in the most demanding virtualization environments.

  • Better CPU utilization = more CPU cycles for virtualized application processing
  • Improved virtual server performance with up to 6x the virtual machine (VM) density
  • Highest quality of service (QoS) for virtualization and cloud initiatives with double the bandwidth
  • Simplified management via complete integration with iDRAC with Lifecycle Controller
  • OneCommand Manager plug-in for VMware vCenter Server to speed deployment, simplify configuration trouble shooting & increase IT productivity.

Over the next couple of months, you’ll see more Dell and Emulex “Better Together” end-to-end solutions (are we lucky or WHAT?). If you are interested in these topics, we hope you’ll keep an eye out! And just to keep you “coming back for more” we’ve got a Dell and Emulex webcast lined up for April 17. There will be some good information, witty repartee and even some free stuff at the end.  If you can’t find what you need, please connect with us on Twitter ( @emulex or @kerstin_emulex ) or email dellsales@emulex.com  Stay tuned, stay lucky and stay connected!
