@ Web 2.0 Expo Next Week

Tomorrow morning I’m flying out to San Francisco to attend the Web 2.0 Expo. Will be a busy few days for me, but I’m really looking forward to it. Not surprisingly, lots of good workshops going on. I plan on attending several over the course of the next few days and will blog about my experience there when I get back later in the week.

Beyond attending the show, I’ll be one of the panelists at a session called “Moving from 1.0 to 2.0: Philosophies for Structure & Change.” It happens at 4:40pm Central Time on Tuesday, April 17. In very Web 2.0 fashion, Jeremiah Owyang from PodTech will be streaming a live video feed from the session and from the Web 2.0 Expo overall. Given the topic, I expect a lot of the Dell perspective to involve IdeaStorm, but I also hope to get to talk about digital media at Dell in general, and how all these things fit together.

While I’m at the expo, I’ll find out who wins the 2007 CODiE Award for the Best Corporate Blog category. Everyone here at Direct2Dell is honored to be one of this year’s five finalists.

This workshop is my first speaking engagement since we launched Direct2Dell in back in July last year. I definitely hope to be doing more of this kind of thing moving forward, and welcome future opportunities like this. Drop me a line here if you’ve got some ideas.
