Nigeria Watching Party

As we celebrated Dell EMC together, here’s a closer look into how it went down in our Nigeria Offices:

The day was incredibly energizing. The event gathered 50 employees from both Dell and EMC, who were introduced as colleagues for the first time. The atmosphere was high spirited, with a strong feeling of pride and celebration.

The party was hosted at the former EMC – now Dell EMC – office in Lagos. The office is one of our more prominent operating centers in Africa. The Lagos office is home not only to our core Dell EMC team, but also VCE, RSA, Isilon, and VMware, and includes local support and services engineers.

The Lagos office is also the recipient of the 2016 Best Place to Work in Nigeria award, given by the Great Place To Work Institute. We have been recognised for our ability to develop a work environment culture that promotes high performance by putting the health, happiness, and empowerment of our employees at the top of our priorities. We strive to offer great professional and career development opportunities that allow us to attract and retain high performing candidates.

As the importance of Nigeria’s ICT sector grows, so too does our office. With the acquisition of a new office space in 2014 in the South Atlantic Petroleum Towers, in Victoria Island, Lagos as well as the inauguration of a world-class training centre that same year, EMC has not been reticent to show its intentions of supporting and championing this exemplary growth in Nigeria as well as the rest of Africa. Indeed, Nigeria has been and still remains one of Africa’s most prominent markets, as it has shown great interest and initiative in the development of their ICT sector, most notably through the advocacy of converged and hyper converged infrastructures locally but also in the whole region.

EMC has been the top choice for customers in Nigeria and the region for some years now cementing our position in the market. Now with Dell EMC and our industry leading portfolio of solutions and products, it is clear that the only way for us is up.
