We’re proud to announce that Dell Technologies is launching an amazing initiative alongside the Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information, to train university students on AI technology. This inspiring initiative will contribute to achieving the objectives of Egypt’s ICT strategy 2030.
The students trained are from five top Egyptian universities including Cairo University, Ain Shams University, the Arab Academy for Science and Technology, the German University in Cairo, and the American University in Cairo. During this initiative, Dell Technologies will provide training sessions on data science and big data analytics, as well as workshops on data engineering. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology will also present a case study topic, which Dell Technologies will convert into a technical case study so that students can practice and learn artificial intelligence applications. The ultimate plan is to integrate this case study as part of the practical artificial intelligence courses for the five universities for a period of five consecutive academic years, starting from 2021-2022 until 2025-2026.
This collaboration will also include Dell Technologies’ implementation of the “Training of Trainers” program, which will provide training sessions for university professors on various technological topics such as artificial intelligence. In addition to that, a competition will be launched at the end of the academic year on artificial intelligence applications where the best three projects submitted by students will be selected.
Magued Mahmoud, Vice President and General Manager of the Center of Excellence at Dell Technologies in Egypt, said, “We are proud to cooperate with the Egyptian Ministry of Communications once again and we are thrilled with its confidence in Dell Technologies.
