Dell Technologies World 2022 – Recovery and Resiliency with The Latest APEX Offering

RECOVERY AND RESILIENCY; AT THE FOREFRONT OF THE LATEST APEX OFFERING.

Disaster recovery and cyber recovery, in particular, are two topics at the forefront of business today. “There is no boardroom conversation going on in any company that isn’t concerned about what they’re doing about cyber and cyber protection”, said Sam Grocott, senior vice president of product marketing for Dell Technologies.

Cyberthreats are growing in frequency, variety, intensity and sophistication. The statistics are pretty alarming: 34% of attacks in 2020 involved an insider, 82% of employers reporting a shortage in cybersecurity skills and 67% of customers are not confident in the ability to recover.

These days, the saying goes, an attack is not an if, but a when.

So there is no better time for Dell Technologies to announce its newest Apex offering, Apex Cyber Recovery Services, described by some partners as the most exciting Apex offer yet.

Dell Apex Cyber Recovery Services is the first in a series of new Apex full stack solutions that deliver a cloud experience to simplify recovery from cyberattacks.

“With APEX Cyber Recovery Services, we’re taking what we’ve learned from deploying nearly 2,000 isolated vault solutions globally and delivering that expertise as-a-Service to customers so they can more effectively recover from a cyberattack. We help customers identify which data to protect in the vault, manage day-to-day cyber recovery vault operations for them, and assist with recovery activities should an incident occur. All customers need to do is choose a recovery service level and the initial vault capacity and Dell takes care of the rest. This simplifies operations, speeds recovery after a cyberattack and offers customers valuable peace of mind”, continued Grocott.

This also helps to solve for core competency issues by allowing customers to focus on their day-to-day operations and not need to rely on in-house expertise.

Dell Technologies is extending cyber-resiliency to the public cloud as well.

PowerProtect Cyber Recover for Microsoft Azure lets organization deploy an isolated cyber vault in the public cloud and allows for flexible recover-and-restore options within the data center or within Azure.

PowerProtect Cyber Recovery for AWS allows organizations to monitor files and databases, analyzing data integrity to determine, with up to 99.5% confidence, whether data corruption has occurred, as well as to identify the last known uncorrupted copy of data.

In this multi-cloud world, “our customers want help reducing complexity and are seeking solutions that use a common approach to managing data wherever it lives – from public clouds, to the data center, to the edge,” said Chuck Whitten, co-chief operating officer, Dell Technologies.
